Invite our educator into your classroom to explore one or more concepts of waste prevention. From curious kindergarteners to inquisitive high schoolers, we tailor our content to spark age-appropriate learning. Whether it’s understanding basic concepts or diving deeper into environmental challenges, we ensure every student embarks on a meaningful journey.

grades K-2

grades 3-8

Trace the Trash: Examine the stages of a products lifecycle and explore alternatives for our “stuff” when we’re done using it.

The Resourceful ‘R’s: Investigate the waste management hierarchy and discover practical ways to employ the 6 ‘R’s of sustainability.

Follow the Food: Explore the lifecycle of food and gain a deeper appreciation for the importance of reducing food waste at home and in school.

Locations: Glenwood Transfer Station, Short Mountain Landfill, BRING Planet Improvement Center. Locations may be scheduled individually or combined.

What’s the cost? Tours are free!

You will need to arrange transportation for your students. Low-income and rural schools qualify for transportation reimbursement through Lane County Waste Management. Get more information when you schedule your field trip with us.
